Barbara Shinn and David Page set out to create a beautiful experience for the newbie and the experienced wine lover and even the ultimate wine connoisseurs of the world. Their dream led to the creation of the Shinn Estate Vineyards and for 50 years, they have been making quality wine and hosting elegant weddings with the vineyards in the distance. At Shinn you can have an outdoor celebration with wine tasting events, dining at the farm house and walks through the vineyard as you sip on your favorite glass of red or white.
Weddings at the Shinn Estate are quite elegant and lovely. You can have the outdoor wedding of your dreams under a tent with the vineyards as your backdrop. Large weddings, over 40, can be held outside under the stars. For smaller wedding parties, or other celebrations, Shinn has indoor accommodations. Your guests can enjoy talking and sipping on wine in the tasting room, barrel cellar or the winery.
Shinn provides the place for you to talk the night away. Their on site Chef David Page provides direction for the caterer that you bring in. The Shinn Estate Vineyards have the room so that your wedding party can enjoy the meal and the ever important wedding cake. After 5 pm you can use the tasting room for family and friend get togethers or even birthday celebrations too.
Long after you leave the Shinn and head home, you may want another sip of that fine wine that you had at the vineyards. Not to worry. There are local New York restaurants that carry the wine as well as fine wine and liquor stores. The taste of Shinn will always be at your fingertips and while your glass may empty from time to time, the memories of your stay at the Shinn will not fade.
